Dr. George Siegfried - Aug 04th, 2011
After your first Nasal Specific Treatment, there are numerous things you may experience. I will give you some that have been experienced regularly by patients over the 25 years I have been providing this treatment. To begin with, you may feel more congested due to the fact that we have indeed stirred things up in your head by adjusting the cranial bones. This by definition will increase activity by way of movement, drainage, etc. And this is in addition to what you may already have been experiencing before the Nasal Specific. It is normal. Extra sinus and throat drainage may occur, which could be in the form of some pretty gross things to put it mildly. Again, a normal occurrence. Having been so tight for so long, the bones get unlocked ever so slightly, movement occurs, fluids start moving and being produced, a cleansing is occurring. Maybe even a little blood due to the stretching of the tissues that have been so tight. If this occurs, not to worry. Just blow your nose gently and you will notice any blood will slowly stop flowing. You may fill up several tissues first, however. In fact, all the drainage may slow down. Then again, you may not have any extra drainage at all. After the initial drainage, or in conjunction with this, you may feel a tremendous release of the pressure in your head, ears, sinuses, eyes, etc. Also a euphoria or well-being, a tremendous sense of a burst of energy, clarity in thought, etc. charged up if you will. Or, you may feel tired, fatigued or even exhausted and simply need to go lay down and take a nap. Children/infants have been known to sleep 12-14-16 hours straight after their initial Nasal Specific Treatment. There may be an emotional component as well. Having had the head locked up, traumatized, etc for so long or so strongly if even a short time. Your body/mind has walled off the pain and emotions that may go along with such physical stress causing your problems. Releasing the bones of the head to move better sets off a pinball-like effect in the brain with nerves/neurons firing like crazy, and all kinds of electrical charges occurring. Almost like sending a surge through your computer. This is all good and normal and may cause you to simply start crying and or weeping for no apparent reason. But the past pain may simply be surfacing. Go with it and let it happen. Also, there have been patients reporting very vivid dreams after these treatments. And the list goes on. All of these things are normal as we have just stimulated the brain and nervous system in a very good, dynamic way. Instead of the compressive forces that have been there for so long, they have now been ever-so-slightly released, as if the brakes have been taken off. Of course, if you have questions between your first and second visit, or at any time in between, please feel free to call me. Dedicated to your health, Dr. Siegfried. McMinnville 503-472-6550.
